Dr. Kulisz’s Biographical Sketch

Dr. Andre Alexander Kulisz is a native of Poland who immigrated to the United States in 1980.  He specializes  in natural health, application of physics and mathematics in the development of non-invasive treatments, and in the development and management of clinical studies. He was a staff scientist at Medtronic, a contract scientist for American Medical Systems, 3M, Novartis and other companies for whom he developed various medical devices, subsystems and treatments.  In 1990, he established Andre Kulisz Associates in Minneapolis, to investigate opportunities of the new, minimally invasive and noninvasive procedures and treatments.  In 1994, his company developed an intraurethral bladder control device. The company was then renamed HK Medical Technologies and relocated to San Antonio, Texas.

Dr. Kulisz has a strong interest in nonsurgical and drug-free treatments, homeopathy, general naturopathy (physiatrics) and treatments through general fitness, nutrition, education, behavioral modifications and patient participation. Notwithstanding the acute benefits of allopathic medicine, he believes promoting natural modalities is essential to the long-term health and quality of life.

Since 1990, Dr. Kulisz has developed and directed various clinical studies in the U.S. and abroad, including a one-of-a-kind clinical study entitled "Impact of Whole Food-Based Supplements on Treatment Outcomes.”  Dr. Kulisz holds 13 patents in the United States and over 30 in other countries.

Dr. Kulisz is an active naturopathic health practitioner and a business consultant.

His other interests include healthcare economics and the delivery of effective, low-cost treatments.  His residential rejuvenation programs reflect the best of prevention with natural health restoration providing long-term health benefits and quality of life.  He believes the application of basic science in medicine, the growth of naturopathy, and nutritional treatments play important roles in accomplishing this goal.  He also stresses the importance of patients' learned and active participation in their treatments.

Dr. Kulisz has published a number of articles in various journals, developed and led several seminars, and wrote  Drips, Leaks and Low Spirits – Woman’s Guide to Bladder Control, Infections and Depression.  He also publishes http://kulisz.com -- a Web site committed to science, medicine, and economics, and MyFoodForHealth.com, which is dedicated to health in the context of nutrition and other natural modalities.

He is a graduate of the Maritime Academy in Poland, the Aviation Institute in Russia, and the Knightsbridge University (EU) with a doctorate in applications of physics in medicine.  He received his American naturopathic degree by examination and advanced standing from the Southern College of Naturopathic Medicine (presently Arkansas College of Natural Health).

Dr. Kulisz is a registered naturopath in the District of Columbia, accredited in all countries of the European Union, board certified by the American Association of Drugless Practitioners, and board certified by the American Alternative Medical Association.
